Description

PLA LW Filament UAE (Aero PLA, 1.75mm, 1kg) – Active Foaming Lightweight Prints

Crolen PLA LW Filament UAE, also known as Aero PLA, is an active foaming 3D printing filament made for ultra-lightweight prints. It is designed for RC planes, model aircraft, lightweight prototypes, shells, aero builds, and projects where reducing weight is important. Each spool is 1.75mm, weighs 1kg, and is produced with tight quality control to support smooth feeding, controlled expansion, and consistent extrusion.

Unlike standard PLA, PLA LW expands during printing when tuned with the right temperature and flow settings. This active foaming behavior helps reduce material density, so printed parts can be lighter while still keeping a clean shape. That makes PLA LW especially useful for makers who build flying models, wings, low-density structures, and parts where every gram matters. It is still PLA-based, but it needs more careful tuning than regular PLA to get the best lightweight results.

Dimensional accuracy: ±0.02mm for stable extrusion, smoother feeding, fewer clogs, and reliable print consistency.

Why choose Crolen PLA LW filament?

  • Active foaming material: expands during printing when tuned correctly for lower-density parts.
  • Lightweight prints: ideal for projects where reducing weight is important.
  • Great for RC models: commonly used for RC planes, wings, and aero builds.
  • Efficient material use: helps create larger lightweight parts with less material.
  • Clean surface finish: supports smooth results when printed with proper settings.
  • Consistent diameter: helps reduce extrusion issues and improves print reliability.

Best uses for PLA LW / Aero PLA

  • RC plane parts and lightweight wings
  • Model aircraft and aero builds
  • Lightweight prototypes and shells
  • Low-density parts where weight matters
  • Large prints that need reduced material weight
  • Creative projects that need a lighter printed structure

Recommended PLA LW print settings

Crolen PLA LW is designed for makers who want active foaming lightweight prints. A good starting point is a nozzle temperature of around 210°C-250°C and a bed temperature of around 50°C-60°C. Higher nozzle temperatures can increase the foaming effect, while lower temperatures can behave closer to regular PLA. Because every printer is different, we recommend testing temperature, flow rate, print speed, and wall thickness before starting a final RC plane or lightweight part.

Fast UAE-wide delivery

We deliver PLA LW filament across the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and other emirates. Each spool is packed carefully to help keep the filament dry and ready for printing when it arrives.

Not sure if PLA LW is the right material?

PLA LW is best when you want active foaming performance for lightweight prints. If you want easy everyday printing, try PLA filament. If you want a low-gloss professional finish, try PLA Matte filament. If you need stronger functional parts, try PETG filament. For flexible prints, go with TPU filament.
